New property owner wanted to remodel and expand an existing single story 4 unit multi-family building to the limits of the site, with a goal of using good design to bring the property more in-line with the well maintained, primarily single family homes in the surrounding neighborhood.
The tough constraints of the tight site ultimately drove the development of the design towards a complex and dynamic solution that at once satisfied the programmatic needs of the project and complimented the minimalist art deco style that was favored by the client.
