Private residence for an Austin based restaurateur and his family. This modern floating house is designed around indoor–outdoor living, with long patios and gently rising steps that both encompass the backyard pool and welcome visitors to the front of the house.
The form of the house bends and breaks apart to respond to city zoning/compatibility constraints and to varying solar conditions and view requirements.

Role: Project architect: responsible for client interaction, design, documentation, staff management, permitting, project delivery, and construction administration.
